The Rhino Vision

Rhino Federated Computing was founded with the vision of transforming how organizations collaborate with data. Rhino’s roots are in healthcare, where data are fragmented, heterogenous, and sensitive. This combination has historically made collaboration difficult, and has stunted the ability to improve health outcomes through data. Rhino is now changing that paradigm with Federated Computing.

After leading a landmark, global collaboration that leveraged Federated Computing for training and testing Artificial Intelligence (AI) with data from 20 institutions around the world. Dr. Ittai Dayan partnered with experienced AI entrepreneur Yuval Baror. Their intent was to turn Federated Computing from an early ‘proof of concept’ to a hardened platform that will enable broad adoption of the technology and would result in unlocking the world’s data in a responsible and secure way. Since launching at the beginning of 2021, Rhino has been a driving force in the creation of this new category of Federated Computing.

As a first step, Rhino established a network of the world’s leading academic hospitals in order to demonstrate the benefits of Federated Computing. Today, Rhino is enabling data collaborations in healthcare, life sciences, financial services, and more. Each of these user groups are looking to solve similar problems: building seamless data processing pipelines for AI and data analytics from decentralized data, while preserving data privacy, data security, and confidentiality. Rhino is building the data collaboration tech stack, and is proud to activate the full potential of data while also adhering to the tenets of the Responsible AI movement.
